Scheduled Streams

Updated over 3 months ago

Planning an event? With scheduled streams, creators can build hype and gauge interest by planning ahead and offering access passes in advance if wanted.

For Creators

How it works

Timing and checking in

You can choose to schedule your broadcast immediately or in the future. Regardless of what you pick, the process is the same: you need to check in manually to your scheduled stream and the next time you go live, regardless of the scheduled time set, the schedule stream will start.

You can check in when you create your schedule stream by ticking the check in box, or later: when on your scheduled stream page or your list of scheduled streams, you can press the 3 dots icon and then select "Check in".

If you are already broadcasting when you check in, you will need to manually terminate your current broadcast and re-start a new one for it to be the scheduled stream.

⚠️ Important: the time you pick for your scheduled stream does not drive when your scheduled stream will go live. It is purely for telling your audience when you are planning to start this scheduled stream.

Checking in is what drives your next live stream to be your scheduled stream.

You can check out of a scheduled stream at any point before going live with a scheduled stream on your scheduled stream page or your list of scheduled streams, by pressing the 3-dots icon and then selecting "Check out".

Broadcast access

Like any other regular broadcast, you can decide if you want to restrict the access to your scheduled stream to subscribers only and/or require paid passes.

ℹ️ Note: Whatever stream access is defined for the scheduled stream will also be valid for the VOD of this scheduled stream, unless manually updated on the VOD once it is available.

You can know more about monetizing your content in our Paid broadcasts help section.

Event details

In this section you can fill in the details for your scheduled stream, similarly to any other regular broadcast.

ℹ️ Note: It is your responsibility as a creator to turn on the Adult Content toggle if you're planning to broadcast adult content. More info about streaming adult content can be found in our Community Guidelines.

Multiple scheduled streams

You can have up to 7 scheduled streams at the same time.

ℹ️ Note: You can only be checked in to one scheduled stream at a time.

Checking in to a scheduled stream will check you out of any other scheduled stream you're currently checked in to.

Thumbnail

Once your scheduled stream is created, you can then add a thumbnail to it.
When on your scheduled stream page or your list of scheduled streams, you can press the 3-dots icon and then select 'thumbnail' to add one.

Editing a scheduled stream details

You can edit the details of a scheduled stream at any point before going live with that scheduled stream. You can do so by clicking the 3-dots icon on your channel page, or in the list of your scheduled streams.
